Hi! It’s Us!

We’re a tale of two Sara(h)s with over 20 Broadway credits between us. We first met through the Juilliard Apprenticeship Program in 2016.

Later, while working on a TV show (in the HMU Satellite Room, no less) we found ourselves laying the foundation for our own wig making company. We recognized our common goal — creating high end wigs, hair pieces, and facial hair for all. Our company is committed to providing custom care and service for any personal, entertainment, gender affirming & medical need.

Meet Team Satellite

Sarah Levine

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, I became an NYS licensed cosmetologist in 2010, learned to make wigs as a Juilliard School Hair & Make Up Apprentice in 2011 and began working on broadway in 2012. The rest is history! After a decade working as a theatre & TV stylist, wig maker, hair supervisor & associate designer under Josh Marquette, I realized that making wigs and helping people achieve their hair dreams was in fact, my dream. After reuniting with Donovan on TV, that dream became a reality 2021 when Satellite Wigs, Inc. was founded.

Sara Jane Donovan

Originally from Bucks County, PA, I moved to New York City in 2010 To attend university. Following graduation, I received my Cosmetology License and proceeded to Apprentice at The Juilliard School’s Hair and Makeup Program.

I have built for a variety of wig designers for Broadway and TV/Film since 2016. I have run multiple Broadway shows, and Had a Blast backstage! Knowing I wanted to eventually be my own boss, Levine’s business proposition was quite enticing — and alas, here we are, business Partners.
